Getting a Library Card

A free Grand Valley Public Library [GVPL] card can be obtained by filling out library card application form. Some proof of your current mailing address must be provided. This can be a driver’s license, utility bill, car registration, state ID, or passport. Patrons under 18 will need a parent or guardian signature to receive a library card.

Account Information

As a GVPL card holder, patrons may check out materials [books, books on CD, magazines, blu-rays, DVDs, video games, e-books, and digital audio books] from any of over 200 participating SEO libraries in the state of Ohio. Information about your account is available by logging into your account through the online catalog, and clicking on the My Account tab.

Requests

Materials may be requested through our online catalog by phone, or in person. The GVPL will notify patrons about requests that are ready for pickup via phone or email.

Renewals

Library materials may be renewed online catalog or by calling the library. Materials may be renewed if there are no requests waiting. We reserve the right to limit renewals on in-demand materials.

Return of Materials

Please return all library materials before their due date to the Grand Valley Public Library. A drop box has been provided for return of library materials after library hours.

Report a Lost or Stolen Card

Protect your GVPL card as you would a credit card. If your library card should be lost or stolen, please call us at 440-437-6545, or report it to the circulation desk. Any use of your library card is your responsibility.
