GVPL to Resume Some Services

GVPL is extending the closure of the library while plans are being made for a phased reopening of some library services. Director Cheryl Selby and the GVPL Board of Trustees, are finalizing a plan to offer some curbside services and essential business only computer use. The library will remain closed for public browsing during this first reopening phase. Specific timing is subject to staff preparations and procedures for patrons.
GVPL will continue to follow guidelines provided by local and state health officials and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The results of the Battelle research project regarding analysis of the lifespan of the COVID-19 virus on different types of library materials will add another level of decision-making guidance.
While GVPL will be closed for this extended period of time, digital library resources are available at www.grandvalleypubliclibrary.org, including ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, movies, music, and learning databases.
GVPL is continuing to extend due dates on all materials and fine free returns during this time. All staff are currently working and preparing the library for the reopening date. Follow the library on Facebook and the website for the latest updates.
