Read to the Dogs

It’s that time again!! On Saturday, May 6 from 10 am until noon our favorite therapy dogs will be here to listen to stories read by young readers.  Why is it a good idea to read to dogs?  They don’t care how fast or slow you read, or if you make a mistake, they just like to listen!

This event is free.  Registration is recommended, but not required.  for more info, stop in or give us a call at (440) 437-6545

Game Day

It’s time for another game day!!

Melissa, our YA and teen services librarian, will be hosting a no-school edition of the popular event on Friday, Jan. 13th.

We’ll pull out all the laptops, and the kindles and even the snacks.

If you have a gaming system, you’re welcome to bring it if you wish.  We can play it on the big screen.

The fun runs from 11-4 and it’s open for those in grades 5 thru 12.

if you need any additional info, give Melissa a call or stop in at the library.

In Memoriam

We recently said a farewell to our dear friend and board member Rose Stackhouse.  Besides being a board member, she was also a member of the friends of the library.  Also, she had many collections that we would sometimes feature in our little showcase closest to the door.

Rose will be missed by everyone here at GVPL.
